Because trees are vital to the environment, and to us as a company, we have
decided to take up the responsibility of replacing the logs we use to create our wafer thin veneer. When a tree is harvested it is divided up and distributed to several different wood manufacturing business: branches and limbs of a tree are usually sent to pellet makers for heating, the bulk of the wood is used for dimensional lumber or plank lumber, furniture, cabinetry and of course paper, which leaves about 10% of the tree for veneer manufacturing. So even though we only get about 10% of any given tree, we will be planting a tree for each log we use to create our veneer. So when you buy your veneer from us, you also plant a treeand help sustain and improve our national forest.
